Meet Josephine

Josephine marie Luck is a self-taught digital illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York.

Her artistic practice is inspired by girlhood, grief, silhouettes seen through sun-filled windows, knick-knacks, the sharpness of shadows, the melodrama of mountains, and mysticism. Drawing often on what she’s seen and where she’s been her work seeks to weave the pieces of her fading memories with fantastical dreamlike landscapes, textures, and compositions. She works digitally, primarily on procreate.

Josephine has a day job as an attorney and formerly worked as a journalist in long-form documentary news.
